EQCO, Earthquake Engineering Consultants

EQCO has been recently established as the organizational front end for providing Consulting Services in Earthquake Engineering for a group of highly trained and experienced professionals with Ernesto F. Cruz, Ph.D. and Dania Valdivia, M.Sc. as leaders. This group has been providing specialized consulting services to different projects and engineering consulting companies in the area of Earthquake Engineering for over 10 years, participating in all aspects related to earthquake engineering and structural dynamics of civil and structural engineering projects.

The group has developed projects ranging from the design/review of office and housing reinforced concrete and masonry buildings to the seismic review of large industrial projects (Combined Cycle and Coal Fired Power Plants). Different members of the group have also provided support to the engineering staff of several large industrial projects, both in basic and conceptual design engineering aspects, mostly related to the earthquake engineering aspects of them.
Over the past few years this group has developed the Seismic Review of several large projects related to electric power generation, and has provided support for the review of several other large projects related to the Paper Pulp Mill Industry in Chile.
